Akarçay Tepe in Şanlıurfa Province, Middle Euphrates, Turkey is a Pre-Pottery Neolithic B to Halaf (8500–5500 BCE) tell of PPNB–Halaf (8500–5500 BCE) tradition. Euphrates farming village bridging Karahan Tepe–Halaf transition. 8500 BCE, the site forms a stratified mound/karst mound 300×200 m, 7 m ppnb–pottery neolithic, halaf-ubaid. Excavations since the mid-20th c. expose mudbrick rectilinear houses with lime-plastered floors, bucranium imagery architecture with diagnostic ceramics, lithics and administrative finds.

Archaeobotany and radiocarbon anchor the sequence, informing regional PPNB–Halaf (8500–5500 BCE) networks across the Şanlıurfa Province. Threats include dam flooding, agricultural encroachment, erosion; research continues on PPNB–Halaf (8500–5500 BCE) chronology.
