Single court tomb on a rock outcrop by the roadside 0.5 miles from Ballyalton village, 2.25 miles east of Downpatrick, built c.4000–3500 BCE at grid J531448. The court opens to a two-chambered gallery where excavations yielded human bone, flint, and distinctive Ballyalton bowls — a Neolithic pottery style named for this site. One of the earliest court tombs in County Down.
