About Barclodiad y Gawres

Cruciform passage grave on Anglesey's southwest coast with decorated stones bearing spiral and herringbone carvings similar to Boyne Valley. Cairn 27 m diameter covering cruciform chamber with central polygonal chamber and three side recesses. Five decorated stones. Excavated 1952-53 by Powell & Daniel, with concrete dome reconstruction.
