Royal palace (largest vaulted palace in Maya world) with 200 rooms, 11 courtyards, 800 CE massacre deposit: 31 bodies with obsidian points. Systematic excavation and published survey document stratified deposits, architectural phasing and georeferenced plans. Built c.400 CE, apogee 656–800 CE; purpose: River port controlling obsidian/jade trade and massacre-record massacre palace. Significance includes multi-phase occupation and landscape setting at 150 m elevation.
