About
About Chaviña Pampa Quebrada Loma Southwest Geoglyphs (Loma Ravine Rim)
Ravine rim (3,350 m) above Quebrada Loma with 10-m drop; figures perched on rim crest with foresight over Nasca–Ayacucho corridor. Figures: 20-m camelid ‘sentinel’ on rim edge, 28-m rhomboid, and 55-m ‘comb’ (parallel 5 lines). Technique: cleared lines 0.9 m wide with upcast gravel forming low banks (12 cm) stable on rim winds. Paracas Topará sherds in 2019 test pits suggest coastal-highland syncretism.
Why it mattersKey geoglyph illustrating Huarpa–Topará hydraulic/geoglyph/kite/kurgan tradition in Ayacucho, Lucanas, Chaviña Pampa southwest rim above Quebrada Loma.
