Chogha Bonut in Khuzestan Province, Susiana Plain, Iran is a Neolithic – Chalcolithic (7200–5000 BCE) tell of Archaic Susiana tradition. Earliest lowland Susiana village with continuous 2200-year Neolithic sequence. 7200 BCE, the site forms a stratified mound/karst mound 180×150 m, 6 m, archaic susiana 0–bus mordeh. Excavations since the mid-20th c. expose pisé and chineh mudbrick with archaic susiana painted ware, early clay tokens architecture with diagnostic ceramics, lithics and administrative finds.

Archaeobotany and radiocarbon anchor the sequence, informing regional Archaic Susiana networks across the Khuzestan Province. Threats include agriculture, erosion, dam; research continues on Archaic Susiana chronology.
