Natural pyramid 420 m high capping Valley of Kings western ridge, El-Qurn (al-Qurn) is symbolic peak Egyptian texts call 'Ta Dehent' — deity-in-mountain — shaping royal tomb siting. Kings oriented valleys toward peak's pyramid silhouette mimicking Khufu. Summit cairn and ancient lookout path Deir el-Medina to Valley still trod; summit yields potsherds and summit shrine. 3D photogrammetry by TMP shows alignment King-Mentuhotep–Peak–Thutmose I. Natural formation surveyed by Dodson. Peak guardian cobra goddess Well of Siloam tradition.
