Hilltop municipium Gadiaufala at Ksar Sbahi, Numidian stronghold turned Roman hillfort with cyclopean walls 3 m thick, 1st-c. triumphal arch for Augustus and 4th-c. Donatist basilica with cathedra. Overlooks El Hocine plain grain belt.
