Gre Virike in Şanlıurfa Province, Halfeti, Turkey is a Chalcolithic to Middle Bronze (4000–1600 BCE) tell of Middle Bronze Ammian tradition. Euphrates palatial centre controlling Halfeti crossing. 4000 BCE, the site forms a stratified mound/karst citadel 250×200 m, lower town 500×400 m, middle bronze palace 40×30 m. Excavations since the mid-20th c. expose mudbrick palace with basalt orthostats, courtyard, eca terrace walling architecture with diagnostic ceramics, lithics and administrative finds.

Archaeobotany and radiocarbon anchor the sequence, informing regional Middle Bronze Ammian networks across the Şanlıurfa Province. Threats include Atatürk Dam flooding, erosion, looting; research continues on Middle Bronze Ammian chronology.
