Cotswold-Severn long cairn northwest of Hazleton village, built c.3800 BCE and extensively excavated 1979–82 by Saville before quarrying. The 20×12 m trapezoid contained two opposed pairs of transepted chambers, yielding remains of 21 individuals and evidence of construction sequence (timber mortuary structure preceding mound). Publication provides a detailed chronology for Cotswold-Severn development.
