Muṣaṣir (Mudjesir) in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Sidekan, Iraq is a Iron Age (1000–714 BCE) ancient-city of Hurro-Urartian tradition. Holy city of Haldi, sacked by Sargon II 714 BCE (relief at Khorsabad). 1000 BCE, the site forms a stratified mound/karst mountain city 800×600 m, haldi temple 40×32 m, stepped terrace. Excavations since the mid-20th c. expose ashlar limestone temple on rubble terrace, bronze gates, cedar roof architecture with diagnostic ceramics, lithics and administrative finds.

Archaeobotany and radiocarbon anchor the sequence, informing regional Hurro-Urartian networks across the Sulaymaniyah Governorate. Threats include military conflict, looting, mountain erosion; research continues on Hurro-Urartian chronology.
