Pintados Geoglyphs in Tarapacá, Chile is a Pre-Inca Atacama (500 – 1450 CE) geoglyph attributed to Atacameño / Tarapacá culture. Largest Chilean geoglyph field: 350+ figures, anthropomorphic 30 m, caravan routes between Azapa and Atacama salt. Berenguer 1994 databank. Systematic excavation and published survey document stratified deposits, architectural phasing and georeferenced plans. Built c.600 – 1200 CE; purpose: Ceremonial caravan markers and ritual geoglyphs along oasis caravan roads. Significance includes multi-phase occupation and landscape setting at 1000 m elevation.
