Archetypal Cucuteni tell on a 30 m terrace of the Tazlău Sărăt, with 12 m cultural deposit and ~13 stratified horizons from Precucuteni to Cucuteni B and Horodiștea. Famous for the Poduri 'Council of the Goddesses' — 21 anthropomorphic figurines plus thrones (Cucuteni B c.4050 BCE) and exceptional paleobotanical archive. Gh. Dumitroaia excavations since 1978 revealed burned house horizons, kilns and faunal economy showing intensive cattle. Reference site for Cucuteni chronology (Bln-2783/84, Hd-15401).
