About Talaiot de Trepucó — Maó, Menorca
Trepucó (Talayotic c.1200–123 BCE) 2 km south of Maó is Menorca's largest talayotic village, 5 ha with central 17-m high truncated cone talaiot 20 m diameter and outer walls 4 m thick enclosing a taula sanctuary (taula 4.2 m high with 3.8-m capstone), walled houses and huge cyclopean rampart 300 m. Excavated by Murray 1930s and Plantalamor 1980s, its taula, remaining 4.2-m U-shaped enclosure with pit, is the island's tallest. Inscribed 2023 within UNESCO Talayotic Menorca.
