Tepe Farukhabad in Ilam Province, Deh Luran Plain, Iran is a Late Chalcolithic – Early Dynastic (3500–2600 BCE) tell of Late Chalcolithic–Early Dynastic tradition. Deh Luran Uruk enclave documenting Susiana–Mesopotamian contact. 3500 BCE, the site forms a stratified mound/karst mound 160×140 m, 6 m late chalcolithic–ed, uruk colony enclave. Excavations since the mid-20th c. expose mudbrick with uruk bevelled bowls, jemdet nasr polychrome, ed scarlet ware architecture with diagnostic ceramics, lithics and administrative finds.
Archaeobotany and radiocarbon anchor the sequence, informing regional Late Chalcolithic–Early Dynastic networks across the Ilam Province. Threats include agriculture, erosion, military; research continues on Late Chalcolithic–Early Dynastic chronology.
