Thamusida at Sidi Ali ben Ahmed on the Sebou, the Tingitanian limes' great river fort: Punic emporium (6th c BCE Phoenician amphorae), then Augustan military harbour, then 2.5-ha Flavian walled town with camp of cohors II Syrorum, baths, Praetorium with frescoes, temple of Mars, and later 170×140 m quadriburgium fort of late 3rd c with river quay and warehouses for olive oil annona to Rome. Burn layer AD 40 marks Aedemon revolt. Children's footprints in clay and U-shaped hearths illustrate daily life. Polish-Moroccan excavations revealed complete stratigraphy from 6th c BCE to Islamic.
