Tureng Tepe in Golestan Province, Gorgan plain, Iran is a Neolithic–Bronze (5300–1800 BCE) tell attributed to Tureng–Gorgan Chalcolithic. Stratified Gorgan plain type-site with Grey Ware. Stratified deposits with radiocarbon sequence and imported materials trace long-distance exchange. Systematic and rescue excavations exposed houses, fortifications and craft zones preserved as a multi-period tell on aerial imagery.
