About Aktobe Tortoba East Satellite Kurgans (Kobda District Eastern Cluster)
Eastern satellite cluster 10 km east of Tortoba core (Kobda District, Aktobe, 165 m) with 12 kurgans 18–52 m diam, 2–6 m high on low Emba-Uil interfluve steppe. Cluster includes Tortoba East Kurgan 7 (48 m) with central pit chamber looted but retaining gold boar plaque and iron scale armor fragments as reported in 2023–2024 Karabau–Tortoba campaigns (Archaeology News 2025 Karabau-2 analog). Surrounding ditches 1.2 m deep with ditch-joined kurgan pairs (Samashev 2010 Tort–Oba pattern). Ground-penetrating radar 2022 shows unopened chamber in Kurgan 9.
