Jenné-Jeno, Niger Inland Delta urban mound (25 ha, 13.9058°N -4.5483°E), was a riverine harbour-bazaar on the Bani tributary with seasonal wharves 200 m along eastern mound foot buried 1.5 m under floodplain silt, traced by McIntosh–McIntosh (1977–2004) coring: harbour mud with 250 BCE–1400 CE pottery, iron blooms and glass beads at 1.5 m, plus 3 m-high mound with 33 tells. UNESCO site. Harbour moored pinasse canoes that linked Timbuktu–Djenné trade via Inland Delta canals; mound stratigraphy 9 m deep anchors West African urbanism before Ghana Empire. Harbour channel shifted with Niger's annual 6 m flood pulse.
