North terrace harbour below Opuk Mountain northern slope of hillfort Kimmerikon, where the Cimmerian-named Bosporan stronghold's northern lagoon marina now lies 1–2 m submerged north of the Opuk summit citadel. 8 m mapped by 2016 Opuk Reserve diving. Founded c. 550 BCE as Cimmerian look-out refounded Bosporan 5th c. BCE, Kimmerikon was Kerch's southern watchtower until 4th c. CE. North fish-pond supplied hillfort garrison with mullet. Causeway links hillfort to harbour.
