Dedicated to Martand (Surya), 63×36 m peristyle courtyard with 84 limestone columns and central 18-m shrine on 4-m podium with Gandhara-Greco nail-head and trefoil arches — Kashmir Nagara synthesizing Gupta, Gandhara and Gupta? Deva. Local limestone from Karewa and Kangri granite for base. Destroyed by Sikandar Shah Miri (Sikandar Butshikan, 1389–1413, Iconoclast) via year-long demolition. Panoramic Himalaya from plateau makes it Kashmir's 'Sun on Karewa'.
