Navekat Krasnaya Rechka City — Sogdian Silk Road city (6th–12th c CE) at Krasnaya Rechka on Chu Valley road west of Ak-Beshim, excavated 1980s by VE Nasyrov and Koen–Goryacheva. Navekat (Sogdian 'New Town') is 14 ha Sogdian walled city with 8 m citadel, Buddhist temple, Manichaean script fragments, and Sogdian–Turk houses. Chinese Tang Anxi protectorate documents list Navekat as one of 5 Sogdian polities of Chuy Valley with Suyab. Twin to Ak-Beshim showcasing Sogdian Chuy Valley urban network. UNESCO tentative with Ak-Beshim corridor.
